Unscathed by an improbable match that was decided in overtime, the Baskoniawhich prevailed 101-97 of Gran Canaria and stayed at the top equal with Barcelona.

The main protagonist for the winners was Marcus Howardwho finished with a game-high 26 points, keying his team’s 14th straight home win.

The 24-year-old hit the spot winning three-pointer for the final 101-97 with 38 seconds left, while scoring Baskonia’s last four points in regulation to tie the game at 91-91.

Of course, he had a chance to… save extra time afterwards, but he missed from the line of scrimmage. Two misfires followed, from Albisi for the guests and Howard, with the match going into overtime.

Costello also contributed to Baskonia’s victory with 18 points, nine rebounds and five assists and Giedraitis added 11 points and 10 rebounds.

For Gran Canaria, Nicolas Brussino stood out with 18 points, followed by Damian English with 16.
