Ancelotti: “We are working to limit an unstoppable team”

Regarding tomorrow’s match between Real Madrid and Manchester City for the semi-finals of the Champions League, he spoke at the press conference Carlo Ancelotti.

The coach of the “meringues” referred, among others, to Haaland but also in this year’s course of Pep Guardiola’s team, which he described as unstoppable.

His statements in detail:

On City’s playing style: “It’s a more complete team than last year. Gabriel Jesus was very dangerous, but different from Haaland. Now they may take more advantage of long balls and second-hand chances. But the style is the same.”

For Haaland: “He is very dangerous, we see him. He is dangerous, but not only him. It is a complete team that plays very good football. We are working to stop a team that seems unstoppable. We will have options. We are reaching the same level as last season. What counts is the motivation and enthusiasm for winning the Champions League.”

For the competition schedule: “We are fine. I never look for excuses. We will not lack power tomorrow. It’s a Champions League semi-final. Of course we can improve, because it is not ideal to play these two games so close. No one will help us. It’s been a while since this has been the case with dates. It is not current. I’ve been saying for years that it’s too much. No one wants to remove contests because it’s less money. No one is asking us and the players.”
