Lioliou’s visit to the training of the Women’s National Team

The President of the EEC, Vangelis Lioliosvisited her training Women’s National Team, which leaves for preparation in Portaria in view of Eurobasket. He was accompanied by the head of women’s basketball development and member of the EEC Board of Directors, Anne Konstantinidou. Both spoke to the athletes and gave their wishes.

The Women’s National Team leaves today for Portaria, where the first stage of preparation will take place. The delegation of our representative group is expected to return to Athens on May 19, where it will continue its preparation with training sessions, as well as friendly matches.

“It is a joy and happiness that we are participating in EuroBasket 2023 and we are participating thanks to you. I want you to know and I tell you from the bottom of my heart that we are always with you. This National Team has a present and a future. It has a sequel. It’s something that builds in every event in every tournament. Those who are more experienced must pass on the flame to the younger ones and all of you together with the coaching staff must represent Greece as only you know how. Either the best players or the best team? That’s the team difference. The best team. Teams bring success and we believe in you“, said Vangelis Liolios.

Anne Konstantinidou wished good success to the athletes and emphasized: “You have some weeks of preparation ahead of you, where you will work, you will sweat, but I believe that playing for the National Team is something that not many athletes experience and the pride is great. Regardless of the outcome it’s a journey to be enjoyed and I’m sure your effort will pay off too».
