Fournier: “There’s no way the Knicks are keeping me – The season is long over for me”

by

This year was a difficult season for him Evan Fournier.

Despite the fact that the Knicks they did very well, the Frenchman was practically a non-factor in the team, since he got minimal playing time during the season, which became almost… nil in playoffs.

THE Fournier through statements, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the limited role he had this year, while emphasizing that he does not expect to remain in New York in the new season.

In detail what he said:

On whether he will stay with the Knicks: “There’s no way the Knicks are going to keep me. I’d be surprised if they do. It is not up to me. But you know I won’t be back. Why should they bring me back? Obviously there will be changes in the team and I will be traded.”

On how this season went: “My season is over a long time ago, actually. This is officially the end, but my season was over a long time ago. It took me a month to figure this out. At first, I was thinking, “just be patient and see how the team develops.” Obviously, there will be changes and I will be kicked out with an exchange”.

On the fact that he hardly played at all in the playoffs: “You know, when it’s the playoffs it’s even harder because … you want to help and you see the crowd. But I knew it wouldn’t happen. So I was trying to stay positive with the guys, try to help, talk to the younger players who don’t have the experience. If I felt I could help? Definitely yes”.
