AEK beat Olympiakos and took the first step towards winning the Handball Premier title (21-19)!
The “Union” may have found themselves behind in the score, from where they were in front with a difference of eight goals, but having him Matskevich on an excellent day, who saved two penalties and made more than 20 tackles in total, to earn the coveted 1-0 win.
Great look at second part from the “red and white”, who returned from… Tartarus, but could not leave with the double from the headquarters of the “two-headed”.
Next match is next Wednesday (17/5, 19:30), this time with Piraeus welcoming the team of Alexis Albanos, with the team that will arrive first at three wins to win the championship.

At the start of the second half, “Union” made it 17-11, with Madalinic also in amazing condition. At that point, the Piraeus stepped on… the gas and reduced to 17-14, having a good presence in defense and attack. In fact, the “red and white” brought the game to a draw (17-17), with AEK scoring for 18-17, after 11 minutes of failure.
Olympiacos turned the match upside down by doing so 18-19 by Papavasili. However, Alexis Albanou’s team skyrocketed their performance and with Matskevich again being decisive, they reached 20-19.
