Panopoulos’ message on the revival of Xanthi: “I urge the people of Xanthi to support the effort”

His support for the effort being made for the revival of Xanthi was sent by Christos Panopoulos.

The once powerful man of the club, with his written statement, sent a unifying message to all the people of Xanthi, asking them to support the actions of the Amateur for restarting the football department, which has been dissolved.

In detail, his statement:

“I have been informed that a new effort is being made by young people, for the revival of the amateur AOX. After thanking the outgoing President of the amateur AOX for many years, Mr. Sideris, for all the good things and any mistakes he made during all these many years, I would like, to the extent that it is my responsibility, to urge all the people of Xanthi, regardless age and gender, to support this effort, because it is an effort of Xanthiots themselves and to support it in all ways.

This city has always been in the spotlight every day over the years because of sports and in this particular case football. We are too few to have confrontations with each other. What unites us is much more than what divides us. Dear Xanthios, support this effort because this forgotten city really deserves it. I urge the initiators of this effort to revive the amateur, to include other sports little by little in their planning.

Good strength, a lot of work, transparent procedures and I firmly believe that the whole world will embrace this effort.”
