The total projected amount corresponding to all National Teams was distributed as follows:
> 80% in Olympic Federations,
> 5% in non-Olympic Federations,
> 5% in Paralympic Federations,
> 5% in EOE,
> 5% in the LLC.
Then, for the calculation of the amount paid to each Federation, the following were taken into account:
> National Team Honors (1 point for every centimeter in the KILON honors rating)
> Expenses of each Federation for its National Teams (0.001 unit for each euro of expenses, as they result from the report submitted to the Deputy Ministry of Sports).
The distribution of 95% of the above funding was calculated based on the above criteria and the remaining 5% was distributed based on sports development priorities.
Especially for the National Teams of the Olympic Federations of the team sports of Football (EPO, which however did not submit relevant data and was not financed), Basketball (EEC), Handball (OKE), Volleyball (EOPE) and Aquatics (KOE), it is increased by 10 % the amount attributable to them.
A minimum base amount has been set, which amounts to €5,000 for Olympic Sports Federations and €2,000 for non-Olympic Sports Federations.
In addition, the amount each National Team receives cannot be more than 150% and less than 50% of its funding from taxation of betting profits received last year.
The Deputy Minister of Sports, Lefteris Avgenakis, emphasized that “all these 4 years we have taken care in every way for the development of our sports building.
We dared as a Government and institutionalized the permanent, annual and equal support of all sports, professional and amateur, from the taxation of the winnings of the Betting players.
And so this year we distributed a total of 66 million euros for the even stronger development of each sport, regardless of popularity.
For the sportswomen and athletes, the coaches, the healthy factors, the hundreds of thousands of parents who trust their children to the legal clubs. And of course for our national teams, so that they can lift Greece even higher in international competitions.
Our sport is changing!».
