As announced by the Confederation of African Football, the system for conducting the qualifiers is expected to be diversified enough to allow for greater competition.

Specifically, from the three phases of qualifiers which gave the teams the right to have a “day off”, the system changes to a small tournament of European standards in which there will be nine groups of six teams.

It should be noted that in order for this to happen in the registers of the qualifiers, the 54 countrieswhile the leaders of each group will directly get the ticket to the World Cup.

As for them second ones of each group will enter the process of playoffs with the winner being the one who will be the last representative of the African continent in the World Cup.

Please note that the draw will take place on July 12 in Benin and will be based on the FIFA ranking of the teams.
