Brest “cleaned up”, Strasbourg a step to stay

by

In the “big salons” of French football, Brest will be in the new year as well, as they beat Clermont 2-1, for the 37th matchday of the Championnat.

The visitors took the lead just before the break, however the hosts initially managed to equalize the match in the 45th minute, while they took the three points to stay by “striking” again in the first minutes of the second half, with Meunier “saving” them and mathematically !

He did the job with Troyes Strasbourg, after the 1-1 final gave the Alsatians the point that allows them to be +6 from the position that leads to the second division next season.

In fact, they were in front of the score before the half-hour, to be followed by two dismissals, one for each team with straight red cards in the 58′ and 72′, while a minute later the home team equalized…

In today’s other games, there were two draws, a “white” one in Nice-Toulouse and a… satisfying one, with 2-2 between Reims and Angers.
