The six potential opponents of Panathinaikos in the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League

Panathinaikos now knows the six candidate teams that will be on their way to the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League.

Initially, said round consists of just Two pairs, so the “greens” know from today who his potential opponents are. The two countries that the club that will find in front of it will emerge are the Ukraine and Belgium.

There are three teams fighting for the title in the Ukrainian league, three games before the final. THE Shakhtar has 66 points, h Dnipro with 64 and n Zoria with 61. Of course, a lot will be decided by the top derby next Sunday, with the “clover” facing the one that will finish in second place.

Things are similar in Belgium. Antwerp and Union Saint Ziloise they are top with 45 points and play each other next Sunday. In third place is Genk with 42, having left Bruges behind. As in the first case, in this one as well, Panathinaikos will face the runner-up.

Of course, there are also two scenarios, in order for Ivan Jovanovic’s total to be at powerful in the 3rd qualifier. These are the following:

– If the opponent is Dnipro, then the Ukrainians’ 8,000 points will send the pair to the underdogs.

– If the opponent is Shakhtar, then the “clover” will be placed (as a pair with the Ukrainians) in the strong group, without any other condition.
