“Sergio Rico in good hands, needs attention in the next 48 hours”

His family is going through difficult times Sergio Rico, who was seriously injured after an accident with a horse in Seville.

The Spanish goalkeeper is in intensive care in critical condition having suffered brain haemorrhagewith the company representing him issuing a statement on his condition.

“Sergio is in good hands, trying to recover while receiving the best possible care. We proceed with caution, especially in the next 48 hours”mentions among others.

The announcement in detail:

Sergio Rico traveled last night from Strasbourg to Malaga and then to El Rotio after winning the league with Paris Saint-Germain.

After about 1.5 hours with his family and friends, he started for a nearby monastery but unfortunately he was the victim of an accident involving a donkey vehicle and an enraged horse ran over him.

Sergio is in good hands, trying to recover while receiving the best possible care from the medical staff at the Hospital of the Virgin of Rothio. We proceed with caution, especially in the next 48 hours.

We are awaiting the results of the medical assessment, which we hope will be positive, in order to inform you about his health as soon as possible.
