Daios is the head of the Academy of Prometheus

New head of his academies Prometheus, which are considered among the best in the country, was taken over by Yiannis Dagios. The 43-year-old coach has worked for a number of years at Iraklis, having the role of first coach in 2018/19 and 2022/23, for a period.

Prometheus Patras is pleased to announce the start of its collaboration with Yiannis Dagios, who takes over as head of the Association’s Academy.

Yiannis Dagios was born in Thessaloniki in 1980 and started his coaching career at the “Asteria” academy in 2009. In the 2018-19 season he was an assistant coach at Iraklis, later taking on the role of head coach at “Giraios”. Later, he had a transfer from Aristotelis Florinas, while in the summer of 2021 he went to the DEKA academy, putting his… stone for a highly successful season of the Thessaloniki team in the infrastructure departments, which was combined with the conquest of the Panhellenic Youth Championship and Boys, of the Rising Stars in the Adolescents, as well as the promotion of the men’s team to the Second National Team. In the 2022-23 season, the Thessaloniki technician worked as the first coach at Iraklis, until about halfway through the season.

We welcome Yiannis Dagios to the Prometheus family and wish him from the bottom of our hearts to carry out the difficult and demanding role of head of the Academy and at the same time to fulfill all his personal ambitions.
