The fines imposed on Apollo of Smyrna after league matches with Olympic and AEK brought the reaction of the club.
The “Light Brigade” announced that It will no longer be allowed to sell tickets to fans of guest teams, except to those of Apollo until the eve of the games. Entry will of course be allowed to holders of durability, while the minimum invitations will be given to the guests.
Among other things, there is talk of “Dictatorship of unjust fines”, as well as for “A football that punishes consistency and legitimacy.”
The announcement in detail:
After the fine of 5000 € that was imposed on our team in the match against Olympiakos due to the presence of fans of the host team…
After the fine of 3000 € that was imposed on us for the same reason in the match of our team with AEK, that is again for the presence of the visiting fans at our stadium…
That is, fines in matches in which, admittedly, the fans of both teams had, in general, decent behavior….
Fines in a match where tickets are sold online, exactly as defined by the relevant JMC (Joint Ministerial Decision).
We decided the following:
1) We close our stadium and do not provide tickets for our home games – not even through VIVA – so that they do not reach the hands of fans of a host team.
2) We will give where we are obliged the minimum number of invitations to the host team.
3) We will of course allow the entrance to the stadium to the fans that have a duration of our team.
4) Tickets will be sold for the home games until the eve of the match and only to friends of our team after following the procedure provided.
5) In case a fan of an opposing team finds a deceptive way and enters the field, we will remove him from it. We take action as we see that the effort to exterminate our team continues by all means.
In a football that punishes consistency and legitimacy, collectors have found a way to fill their coffers in difficult times. Imposing the “dictatorship of the fine”.
We are being punished because we are unable to shut the mouths of fans of another group who were provided with tickets in the way required by the Joint Ministerial Decision. We are obliged to react at a time when teams are struggling to survive and meet their needs by paying financial obligations, athletes and staff already long delays. We reject the dictatorship of unjust fines.
