Even three weeks before the final 4 of the Nations League, Roberto Mancini announced on Monday his “chosen” for the final phase of the competition in the Netherlands, June 14-18. The head coach of the European champions called up Federico Baschirotto of Lecce for the first time in the representative group, while Locatelli, Jaccani and Nicola Zaniolo returned to it.
The players of Inter and Fiorentina were left out of the mission, due to the participation of both teams in the finals of the Champions League and the Conference League respectively.
Of the 26 initially called, three will be cut during the pre-season to form the final 23 for the semi-final against Spain on June 15.
