Surfer for a few years and crazy about bikini for as long as I can remember, every year I observe trends in beachwear and mine in the world of tiny pieces, used in the best environment in the world: aquatic! And here it doesn’t matter, anything goes: sea, pool, waterfall, dam, river, stream or hose bath!
Technology has made everything even more interesting, as we have access to countless brands. In addition, the internet has allowed for a closer look at the perception of those who understand everything about the subject.
It was even recently that I came across a live by André Carvalhal and Dudu Bertholini, who happily talked about 2022 fashion trends. It was from there that I understood that the very low waist can be a reflection of this sensual scene that will flood the beaches. But, calm down, the hang glider is with everything too.
Free bodies!
A summer unlike any other Brazil has ever seen. In a world marked by a pandemic, what seems to be trending this season is the joy of being alive, with a lot of gratitude, conscience and wisdom! I swear, this is not gratilux talk!
After all, after the storm always comes the calm! And she will arrive! Then it will be time to say thank you, enjoy and relax a little!
That said, beachwear this summer 2022 bets on shine, Brazilianness and textures.
Pieces with bulges should completely lose their turn in this 2022 and in place of false fillers, structured cuts, lashings and bands enter. Beautiful is to be natural and laid-back!
1 – Comfort and tranquility, with structured pieces!
Half cups, belts and one shoulder are just right. After all, the rule this summer is to be natural, more than ever! Although the little curtain is unanimous among Brazilian women, models with more structured cuts are in force this summer.
2 – Tie up whoever you can!
Unconventional moorings will also rock the sands of this wonderful Brazilian coast! But be careful with this business of turning the little curtain ‘upside down’, it works on women with prostheses, as for natural breasts I would bet on models already created for that.

Another tip about textured fabrics is for those who have more volume in their thighs! Textured swimwear, bikinis and bathing suits can end up in inconvenient diaper rash! So watch out! (my tip here is to bet on a smooth bottom, suddenly, or have another piece in the bag, so I used a little, and started to bake, change!) A beachwear lover forewarned is worth two!!
6 – Embrace your Brazilianness
Brazil is synonymous with summer, thong bikini, swimming trunks with different cuts and prints, tanned day and lots of joy at this time of year! To celebrate the Brazilianness that exists in each of us, brands in prints from the forest, tropical florals, as well as references from great Brazilian artists.
7 – Forever Young!
The poá will come with everything this summer! Whether the classic black and white or color. You can bet on it with your eyes closed.
8 – Mixing is always good!
Floral with plain, stripes with plain and even floral mixes, why not? If your beach is daring, you can go without fear of being happy.
9 – Candy and neons palette
Pantone has launched its color of the year, a shade of lilac that is inserted in what we could call a candy palette. The orange and pink duo resists as a beachwear trend 2022, as well as the neons.
10 – Sustainable, here I come!
The most ‘fashionable thing in the world’ is to be minimally sustainable. So, my loves, bet on durable pieces, with biodegradable fabrics, well-made and resistant seams, which will guarantee longer life for swimwear, bikinis and the like.
After all, fashion is always coming and going, no one invents the wheel twice, so what’s in today will be out tomorrow and vice versa!
