Women: Jamball today at the 2nd “Vasso Beskaki” Tournament

Its curtain opens today 2nd “Vasso Beskaki” Tournament in the indoor of Agios Thomas in Maroussi with the matches being for the Women’s National Team the dress rehearsal ahead of EuroBasket 2023.

Our representative group will give two strong friendlies today with Croatia (2/6, 18.30) and Sunday (4/6, 19.30) against Italy. On Saturday (3/6, 19.30) Croatia will face Italy. Entry for fans will be free.

As last year, this year too, through the tournament, the memory of a special person who left us so early is being honored. Of a man who honored the jersey of the National Teams as an athlete, while continuing as an employee of the EEC in the office of the National Teams and in relations with international federations and FIBA. In recent years, she had also become a commissioner in international events, putting even more basketball in her life.

Vaso Beskaki left us in the early hours of November 15, 2021, spreading sadness to all those who loved her and were by her side, but also to all basketball friends… But her smile remains forever in our hearts.
