Manchester derby with a historic trophy at stake!
The City and United, with typically the home side first, face each other on Saturday (3/6, 17:00) at Wembley in the FA Cup final. The two teams that have won the last two trophies of the season in England.
Both teams are on a super moon. Of course, in much better the “citizens”, who on the one hand retained the title of champion (the defeat by Brentford in the last matchday of the Premier League, where they carried out a massive rotation, did not cost them anything). On the other hand, next Saturday (10/6) they will claim the Champions League trophy in the final against Inter. And all this, having long since achieved high standards of racing performance.
However, the “red devils”, who have already lifted the League Cup (beating Newcastle in the final), are also in good momentum. Against Fulham, last Sunday (28/5), they scored their fourth consecutive “three points”. They finished 4th, on +4 from Newcastle and secured a return to next season’s Champions League.
Pep Guardiola does not face any problems in the competition. In contrast to Ten Haag, who does not count on Martial, Martins, Sabitzer and Van de Beekwhile Anthony is doubtful (but probably will catch up).
Regarding this year’s meetings between the two teams, each has one victory at home. Of course, City’s (6-3) was even more deafening (United’s 2-1).
It should be noted that United are second in the list of FA Cup winners, with 12 trophies compared to Arsenal’s 14, while City have celebrated six times.
The game will be televised by Cosmote Sport 1 HDwhile there will be live updates from sport-fm.gr.
