Olympiakos goes to the Champions League, PAOK chooses the CEV Cup, Panathinaikos remains in the Challenge Cup

The Greek volleyball teams announced their choices regarding the European competition in which they will compete next season.

The champion of Greece and owner of the Challenge Cup Olympiacos, made the decision to declare participation in the Champions League, after cooperation with EOPE, it is proceeding with corrective actions in the indoor gym of Rentis, so that it meets the required conditions, and also gets the exception that he needs to compete there even though his capacity is less than 3 thousand seats.

So the “red and whites” return to the top competition after the 2021when they were eliminated in the qualifiers by Hebar, while among the possible opponents are the Serbian champion Vojvodina, the Bulgarian champion Neftokhimik Burgas and the Spanish Waguas.

As for the Cup winner and runner-up PAOK, the management chose to file on Saturday night the team’s participation in the CEV Cup, the second such event.

Finally, the third representative in the European salons will be Panathinaikos, with the “greens” not changing tournaments, remaining in the Challenge Cup, however, unexpectedly, they will compete in the closed OAKA with the only “dangerous” potential opponent, Salsomaggiore.
