The Board of Directors of ASA KORIVOS announces the start of cooperation with coach Dimitris Liogas as Head Coach of the men’s team for the 2023-2024 season.
The 56-year-old technician has more than 30 years of experience in all national categories, the Basket League, but also abroad, with distinctions, and important coaching work in all the teams he worked for.
The coach, Dimitris Liogas, started his multi-year coaching career at the age of 24, as first assistant in the A1 National Team, with Papagou.
He has been a head coach in all National categories (A1, A2, B’ and C’ National, A1 Women’s) achieving in three decades, eleven promotions, presence in the Fiba Cup with APOEL Cyprus, and a Greek Women’s Cup with Glyfada.
He was at the helm of several teams in the second division, such as Pagratios, Sporting, Palaio Faliros, Chalkida, Papagos and Ionikos Lamias. He also participated in the coaching team of Papagou, Sporting and Near East in the A1 National category.
He coached the champion APOEL Cyprus, participating in the FIBA ​​Cup European competition.
In the 2021-2022 season, he took over Karditsa, making it champion in A2, promoting it for the first time in its history, to the Basket League.
Last season he was at the helm of AO AMYNDAS YMITTOU.
