Amateur Olympiacos announced its second transfer for the women’s basketball department.
The “red and white” made the 25-year-old Greek guard their own, Renia Karlafti, who signed a contract for next season. The talented player played for PAOK for five years, while earlier she also played for Proteas Voulas, Herodotos and Ergotelis.
We remind you that before Karlafti, Olympiacos had also announced its acquisition Eleanna Christinaki from Panathinaikos, while also renewing the coach’s contract, Thanos Niklas.

OLYMPIAN S.F.P. announces the start of his collaboration with Renia Karlafti. The international guard/forward (born 8/6/1998, 1.80m) signed her new contract and joins the roster of the club’s Women’s basketball team.
Renia Karlafti started her career in Ergotelis, then played in Herodotos (2012-15) and Protea Voulas (2015-18), while in the last five years (2018-23), she played in PAOK. She is a member of the Women’s National Team, while she wears the jersey with the national emblem from the age category of the Pangorasids.
The statement of Renias Karlaftis: “I am very happy to be a member of the Olympiakos team. I feel honored! I am ready to give 100%, to help the team, so that we can achieve the goals we have. I sincerely thank the administration and the coach for their trust in me.”
