by

In the grand final of Roland Garros will be found Novak Djokovic after winning the first semi-final of the French Open with 3-1 set over Carlos Alcarath.

Speaking after the match, Mr Nolehe expressed his respect for the Spaniard young tennis player, for not giving up and staying in the match, despite him injury suffered early in the third set.

Novak Djokovic’s statements in detail:

“I told him after the match that he is very young and has all the time in front of him to win this tournament many times. He’s an incredible player and a really good kid. It’s tough to end the match like that and not know if you should stop and of course nobody likes to win a match like that. Congratulations to Carlos though, I respect that he played until the end with a problem and didn’t give up the match.

It was a lopsided match and it happened with his injury. From there it was a completely different match. I tried to stay focused even though I could see he was in trouble. I hope it comes back quickly and it’s nothing serious. In the first 1.5 sets I was playing well. Then it seemed that Carlos was better, but I had to play more aggressively. I know he likes to play this style. He plays with intensity and I had to match it. I’m proud to have reached another final.”
