PAOK announced Milanova

Alexandra Milanova officially became a PAOK volleyball player on Sunday. AS have announced the acquisition of the international Bulgarian midfielder for next year, in order to strengthen at the ends of the attack and to challenge for the domestic titles next season, with the two sides having verbally agreed a few days ago.

The 22-year-old played in Turkish Belediyespor this season.

In detail, the announcement:

“PAOK and the women’s volleyball department announce the start of cooperation with the athlete, Alexandra Milanova, for the 2023-2024 season.

Born in Bulgaria on 04/07/2001, Alexandra Milanova competes as a winger and is 180cm tall.

She started her career in the 2010-11 season with Slavia Sofia, where she stayed for seven seasons (2016-17), producing important performances at league level.

In the 2017-18 season he continued at VC Maritza. There he won the domestic double, while at the same time he also competed in the top European club competition, the CEV Champions League.

At VC Maritza she remained until the 2021-22 season, completing her presence there with five Bulgarian championships, four Cups and several important matches in the CEV Champions League.

Last season (2022-23), he played for the first time outside Bulgaria, playing in the Turkish league, which is one of the top in Europe, on behalf of Nilufer Belediyespor.

She is an international player with the Bulgarian women’s national team, with the milestone of winning the European Golden League in 2018 and 2021, as well as the Challenger Cup in 2018.

Regarding the start of cooperation with PAOK, Alexandra Milanova stated on the club’s official website, acpaok.gr: “I am very happy to be a member of PAOK.
