THE Filip Mladenovic will compete in Panathinaikos until 2025with the Greens announcing its acquisition earlier.

What did Karlitos and Verbich tell you about Panathinaikos?
“I heard very nice things from Carlos and Benjamin. We fought together in Legia. I know that Panathinaikos is a big club and has big ambitions. He had a very good season this year and unfortunately lost the championship title in the last few games, but he shows that he is in good shape. That’s why I chose to sign for Panathinaikos, because I saw a good plan, a very good team with ambitions. I am really happy and I hope that we will achieve a lot.”
The coach is a compatriot of yours, Ivan Jovanovic. Do you think this will help you?
“I don’t know him personally. I hope we will have time to talk. I’ve heard a lot of good things about him. The results showed his work and these always show that something is working. I’m very happy to be here and to work with him.”
In your career you worked in many different clubs and countries. What do you expect here?
“Yes, I changed several countries and clubs. I prefer to compete for titles, cups, leagues, European competitions. In Legia Warsaw, in Red Star, in Bate Borisov I did it. That’s exactly why now I have so much experience and I feel ready to fight a new battle, winning championships and cups. It’s a new beautiful challenge for me.”
How would you describe yourself competitively?
“A footballer with bravery and character, not a bad quality either! I want to see people on the pitch and I will definitely fight for this club. I appreciate the fact that I am here, because I know how big a club with history Panathinaikos is. It’s a big and beautiful challenge for me.”
What is your position on the field?
“I usually play left back in a back four. With three central defenders I play the entire left side, a situation that happened in my previous team as well as in the national team”.
