The belief that the Heat will return to the finals and this time be crowned champions was expressed by Jimmy Butler after loss to the Nuggets in Game 5.
“I’m thankful we made it this way, we may not have made it to the finals but I feel blessed. You never know what next year’s team will be like, but I’m sure Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra will make a good team again“, he emphasized.
“These four years have been great, we’ve had a chance to challenge for the championship and I still believe we can do it as a team. I learned a lot, they taught me a lot and I wish I could get the title for these guys. It’s nice to feel loved and appreciated“, he added.
On what his team was missing in the Game 5 finale, he said: “It cost my mistake in the end. This is what I stand out».
Asked if the ankle injury he sustained in the second round affected him, he replied:It didn’t affect me at all. My ankle is fine. We just didn’t win. There is no excuse, they beat us».
Kyle Lowry said for his part: “Congrats to the Nuggets, they deserved it. They beat us fair and square. We are very united in this group and we have a great leader. It was a very good season, a great run, but we can’t think about that now».
