Marousi: Participation in the Basket League is difficult

Amarousiou’s participation in the Basket League seems difficult, despite securing promotion. The extraordinary general meeting that took place yesterday at the closed Agios Thomas had a quorum, however only 1/3 of the minimum required amount for the establishment of KAE has been covered.

It was decided, led by the president of the team, Christos Georgousopoulos, to create a five-member committee that will exhaust the chances for promotion. He will run the affairs of the previous OEM, wanting to clear all the previous balances and get a certificate so that he can initiate the procedures of creating a new OEM.

Until next Friday, however, everything will have been clarified, since then the deadline for participation in the Elite League expires, where the team will return since it does not have the conditions to play in the big division.

If the financial conditions for participation in the Basket League are not met, the management people are not going to jeopardize the viability of the team.

“The Extraordinary General Meeting of our Association was held on 17/06/2023 at the Closed Municipal Gymnasium of Agios Thomas with the main topic of discussion being the possibility of establishing a new KAE in order for the Men’s Basketball Team to participate in the BasketLeague championship after winning the EliteLeague championship.

We would like to thank the members and friends of the Group whose presence was intense and moving. We would especially like to focus on the participation of many parents of sportsmen and women of our Academies and Infrastructure Departments, which makes us proud as our family grows and expands day by day, strengthening our Vision and giving us strength for continuity.

We inform you that in the framework of the Decisions of the Extraordinary General Assembly, a “Book of Intention to Participate in the Share Capital of Nea K.A.E.” is kept at the Secretariat of our Association. It should be noted that after the end of the Extraordinary General Assembly, many members and friends of the Association registered their intention to participate in the Share Capital and already one third of the minimum amount required to establish a new KAE has been covered. We invite members, fans and friends of the Association to participate in this effort by recording their intention in the said Book, during the working hours of our Secretariat, as we believe and want multi-stakeholderism in the new KAE”.
