He will remain in Greece but in a different… city o Jaylen Hunts!

The American guard found it all with the Pigeon bwin and today (24/06), the Western Suburbs team announced his transfer on a one-year contract.

The 24-year-old played in his shirt PAOK last season and is the fourth transfer acquisition of Vassilis Spanoulis’ team after Joe Ragland, Kenny Williams and Elaiza Mitrou-Long.

The American guard will strengthen the team’s regional line with his presence in domestic and European competitions.

Jaylen Joseph Hunts was born on February 12, 1999 in San Diego, California.

The 1m.91 tall Jalen Hunts plays as a guard and at the age of two and a half he caught a basketball in his hands for the first time. And he never left her! He played at Foothills Christian High School and Mater Dei High School in the California area and then attended the prestigious UCLA university program. He only stayed with the Bruins for two years, as his performances and numbers in the 2018-2019 season were a major reason for his selection in the NBA draft.

Starting all 33 games he played in the 2018-2019 season, Hunts averaged 14.2 points, 6.1 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game! The Los Angeles Clippers selected him with the 56th overall pick in the 2019 draft, but his rights were traded to the New Jersey Nets. He played in the 2019 Summer League with the Nets and in his first professional season he played in the G-League with the Nets affiliate, the Long Island Nets. He played in 41 games, had 11.4 points, 3.3 assists and 2.9 rebounds, while on 11/12/2019 against the Westchester Knicks he had his best game with 28 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals!

In January 2021 he came to Europe for the first time and played in the Adriatic League with FMP from Serbia. He averaged 8.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 12 games and showed European audiences for the first time his impressive swing skills with a dunk that was included in the highlights of the season.

Last season (2022-2023) he wore the shirt of PAOK and in 40 games in total he averaged 13.93 points, 3.45 rebounds, 2.58 assists in 23.9 minutes of participation. In the Basket League, in 31 games, he had 13.87 points, 3.45 rebounds, 2.58 assists in 23.6 minutes of participation. In the Basketball Champions League in 9 games, he had 14.11 points, 3.33 rebounds, 2.11 assists and 1.44 steals in 25.1 minutes of participation».
