Complaints of a footballer not playing enough and feeling sidelined by his manager is a common phenomenon that happens at all levels and most of the time, the solution is to leave or be loaned out to get playing minutes at his feet .

Discontent, however, from a player who struggles… a lot, the truth is that we don’t come across it very often, with Marcelo to be one of those special occasions!

Specifically, according to what is leaking from Brazil, his former player Olympiakou and now her Fluminense he has created a negative atmosphere within the club, complaining that he is struggling more since he thought he would only take part in league derbies. Also, Fluminense reporters speak of aloof behavior, that he does not participate in team events, while going to training sessions with his own staff.

Marcelo’s first problem at Fluminense was the number of games. He thought he would only come to Flu for the big matches. But coach Fernando Diniz believes that all athletes are always available. Marcelo complains, for example, that he was selected to play against Cuiamba and Paisadu

The player also complained about fitness issues. These complaints were not accepted internally. In fact, he criticized Nilton Petrone, the head of the club’s physiotherapy department who is very much loved by the team. The situation is so turbulent that people close to “Phil” claim that he is thinking of retiring by the end of this year.

Faced with this scenario, Marcelo isolated himself from the rest of the team and was considered a “popstar”, in the bad sense of the term.“, says a tweet from a journalist from the Latin American country.

The 35-year-old counts 21 appearances and four goals in 1,624 minutes of participation with the club’s shirt Fluminense.
