The preparation on Austrian soil was started by Panathinaikos with morning training in Bad Erlach, which will be his base for the next 15 days. The first training in the basic stage of the preparation took place with the football players in high spirits and the goals falling “rain” during the two legs.
The players were divided into the following groups:
Green team: Aitor, Senkefeld, Katris, Ruben, Mancini, Campetsis
Lahani team: Sideras, Zeka, Huancar, Vaiannidis, Bilal, Kaloskamis
Pink team: Palasios, Bernard, Frokou, Kotsiras, Fikai, Geremegev
Tsokai was a wildcard and the goalkeepers were Lodingin, Xenopoulos.
In the double leg, the one team that was out, had the footballers on the lines and they had to pass at least once to score.
The goals that were scored were quite a few, some of them, impressive. Like Palacios’ “fireball” that “nailed” to the “window” and Mancini’s wonderful shaft that went over the goalkeeper to end up in the net.
In fact, in a collaboration of the breathless team that quickly changed the ball and scored, Jovanovic was satisfied with what he saw and shouted: “well done that’s a good thing!”.
After the end of the doubleheader, work on the static phases followed and especially in the defensive part. The baton was taken by Christos Kontis who gave instructions to the footballers on how they should behave in the corners. We remind you that last year the “clover” conceded just one goal from a stoppage time and scored a total of 13!
In the afternoon, Panathinaikos will play its first friendly before the new season. The “greens” will face Wiener Victoria (19:30, cosmotesports1), in a match – numbing for the footballers.
