PAOK announced Vigars

Megan Vigars became a PAOK volleyball player on Monday. The “whites and blacks” announced the acquisition of the British passer for the next year, so that they can strengthen the pass.

The 29-year-old wore the shirt of Potsdam this season.

In detail, the announcement:

“PAOK and the women’s volleyball department announce the start of cooperation with the athlete, Megan Vigars, for the 2023-2024 season.

Born in the United Kingdom on 31/01/1994, Megan Wiggars is 183cm tall and plays as a passer.

She took her first steps in volleyball from the Netherlands, playing for Eurosped in the 2011-12 season.

Her next stop in her career was Southern Illinois University, where she had significant performances, staying there until halfway through the 2016-17 season.

This was followed by a six-month stint at VK Kralovo Pole Brno from the Czech Republic, where she put in some excellent performances, while also gaining her first experience of European club competition, playing in the CEV Challenge Cup.

In the 2017-18 season, she tried her luck at Evreux Volley-Ball from France, now playing at the highest level, competing in Ligue 1.

The next competitive year (2018-19) found her again in France, this time on behalf of Saint-Raphael Var Volley-Ball, with which she won the French Cup, while also reaching the quarterfinals of the CEV Women’s Cup.

In the 2019-20 season, he again competed in the French championship and more specifically in the Saint-Raphael Var Volley-Ball, however the competitive year was “marked” by the pandemic.

Then followed a two-year stint at ASPTT Mulhouse, in which in the first season (2020-21) he won the domestic double, while at the same time competing until the “16” of Europe’s top club competition, the CEV Champions League. In her second season at ASPTT Mulhouse (2021-22) she won the French Super Cup, while again competing until the “16” of the CEV Champions League.

Last season, she played in the German SC Potsdam, with which she won the German Super Cup, while with her team she also reached the “8” of the CEV Women’s Cup. In the second half of last season, she competed in Cyprus on behalf of Olympiada Neapolis, with whom she won the domestic double, contributing the most with her performances.

He is an international with the United Kingdom national team.
