The Hellenic Basketball Federation actively supports the actions of the Association of Parents of Children with Neoplastic Disease “Floga”. In this context, members of the Association with a delegation of children visited in OAKA the athletes of the Women’s National who are preparing for the matches of the qualifiers of Eurobasket 2023.
The meeting took place outdoors, as required by the health protocols, with the athletes talking to the children and offering them moments of joy.
The Hellenic Federation was represented by the head of Women’s basketball, Annie Konstantinidou and the General Manager Dinos Sverkounos, while the vice-president of OAKA, Emmanouil Detorakis was also present.
Konstantinidou in a short speech stated that Women’s basketball wants to be close to “Floga” and that other actions are planned in the future.
The president of the Flame Association, Mary Tryfonidis, was given a T-shirt with the signatures of the international athletes by the team manager of the Women’s National Team, Sofia Kligopoulou. The athletes donated banners to the children and took photos with them.
