The announcement

OLYMPIAKOS S.F.P. announces the start of its collaboration with Serbian coach Aleksandar Ciric, who takes over the technical leadership of the European Women’s polo team champion. Aleksandar ριiriτς was born on December 30, 1977 and started coaching in 2013 from the age groups of National Serbia, after completing a great career as an athlete. In 2015 he joined the coaching staff of his country’s men’s team and from then until today he was in the National Team of Iran.

Ciric: “We will continue the course we had”

In his first statements as the coach of the European champion, Olympic Women’s polo team, Aleksandar ριiriτς stated the following to olympiacossfp.gr: “A new step in my career, I am at Olympiakos. In the communication I had with Haris Pavlidis, he explained the situation in the team. So, I accepted the proposal to take over Olympiakos. Definitely, it is a big challenge to come after Haris, because it is a big name, not only for Olympiakos, but for world polo. I came in the middle of the season and I will need a period to adjust and get to know the team. I am sure that we will continue in the good results and the course we have had so far. We have to start a business and the girls have to adapt to my philosophy. Olympiacos is not a simple club, it is a family, an institution and it is a “machine” of sports in Greece and of course, in polo, where in men it has shown its dynamics over the years and is a club that everyone respects. In women’s polo, in recent years the course of Olympiacos is really brilliant. I will try to continue in this direction and not disappoint anyone. I want to tell people that I am happy to work in front of them, the atmosphere they create is impressive and I will try not to disappoint them. “I look forward to starting work.”
