His former football player Panathinaikou, Roberto Gramajo passed away on Saturday at the age of 75.
The Argentine went to the “cloverleaf” in 1972 along with Juan Ramon Veron, Araquén Demelo and Severiano Irala. In the Athenian club he made less than 10 appearances and after about a year and a half, he left Greece.
He was born on July 28, 1947 in the city of La Banda, Argentina. He made his debut at the age of 15 in Central Argentino while at 19 he was transferred to Rosario Central. This was followed by his spell at Huracan under the guidance of the legendary Cesar Luis Menotti with whom he won the title, while also playing for Quilmes, Deportivo Cuenca and Olimpo.
With his national team, he played in just one friendly match against rival France, on 8 January 1971 at Boca Juniors, a match that ended in a 4–3 victory for the French.
With deep regret, we communicate the passing of Roberto Gramajo and send our condolences to his loved ones.
