Jovanovic: “We could have looked more dangerous – We had good periods in the game”

In Panathinaikos’ good periods in the first half and at the beginning of the Second, Ivan Jovanovic stood after the 1-0 win over CSKA Sofia 1948.

Among other things, the Serbian coach emphasized that the opponent was better on the pitch, while he did not fail to mention Filip Djuricic and Filip Mladenovic saying that they will soon learn the team’s way of playing.

“It was a similar friendly to yesterday, although today was stronger and we faced a better team on the pitch I think. We had good periods in the first half and the beginning of the second in terms of how we played.

We also made some mistakes mainly in the completion of the attacks and we could have looked more dangerous. What I didn’t like was at the end of the match, regardless of the many changes and even if it’s a friendly that we should have managed it better”

Regarding the transfers of Djuricic and Mladenovic: “They are two very good footballers and they have experience from the positions they play, in which we need them to offer us. Both learn as soon as they learn our way of thinking. Not every change is easy, but these amicable ones are important to help both of you. They have no fitness issues, they were in the Serbia squad and they have games in their legs, they only sat out a few days. Through the friendlies they will get to know our way of playing better in order to be in the best possible condition for the official games to come.”
