An AEK player is officially o Rodolfo Pissarro!

“Union”, as expected, announced the acquisition of the Mexican midfielder for the next two years (ie until 2025), with the contract of the two sides also including option for another year.

It should be noted that the 29-year-old ace chose for his jersey the “70”given that the other numbers he requested had been given.

So, with the said great transfer, the doubles have satisfied yet another transfer ‘want’ of Matias Almeida.

The announcement of PAE AEK:

PAE AEK announces the acquisition of football player Rodolfo Pizarro. The Mexican international ace signed a contract with our team until the summer of 2025, with an option to renew for another year, and took the number 70.

Rodolfo Hilbert Pizarro Tomás was born on February 15, 1994, in the city of Tampico, in the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico. He took his first football steps at Madero Academies, a team from his region. At the age of 17, he was transferred to Pachuca, with whom he signed a professional contract and made 155 appearances in their shirt (10 goals, 13 assists) until December 2016, winning the 2016 Clausura championship with them.

After that he made his first big transfer, with Chivas Guadalajara paying 15 million euros for his acquisition. There he teamed up with Matias Almeida for the first time and together they won the Clausura and the Copa del Rey in 2017, as well as the CONCACAF Champions League the following season (2018). With the Guadalajara team he made a total of 55 appearances in all competitions (15 goals, 10 assists).

In July 2018, he made a second expensive transfer, with Monterrey spending more than €15 million to sign him. With her jersey, Pizarro won the 2019 CONCACAF Champions League and the 2020 Apertura Championship.

In February of the same year, he decided to compete for the first time abroad, with the then newly founded Inter Miami paying a little more than 10 million euros to acquire him. Pizarro was the player who scored the first goal in the history of the Florida team, with whom he played a total of 62 games (7 goals, 10 assists), with a bracket of one year (2022) during which he returned on loan to Monterrey.

At national team level, Pizarro played for Mexico’s U23 team, was part of the Olympic team at the Rio Games and made his first team debut in January 2014 in a friendly against South Korea. He then went on to make another 38 appearances (5 goals) for his country, being part of the team that won the Gold Cup in 2019.

Rodolfo, welcome to the AEK family!
