Visit of Yannis Oikonomou to OAKA – He met with Tentoglou, Karalis and Pomaski

The Deputy Minister of Sports, Mr. Giannis Oikonomou, visited the Athens Olympic Sports Center “Spyros Louis” (O.A.K.A.) on the morning of Thursday, July 20. He met with the Management, discussed with the members of the Board and was given a tour of the facilities.

The Deputy Minister, accompanied by the General Secretary of Sports, Mr. George Mavrotaswas informed by the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Nektarios Vidakis, and the Coordinating General Manager, Mr. Konstantinos Halioris, about the projects that are in progress and those that have been launched.

He also took a tour of the Central Olympic Stadium, the Olympic Aquatics Center, the “Nikos Galis” Indoor Stadium, the Olympic Cycle Track, the Athens Olympic Tennis Center and the auxiliary training facilities, where he met our athletes Milto Tentoglou, Emmanuel Karalis and the coach Giorgos Pomaski.

In his statement, the Deputy Minister of Sports said:

“At O.A.K.A, a major effort is underway to modernize and upgrade the facilities, where major events and a series of emblematic actions are hosted. Our sportsmen and women, champions and champions, train in this area. I know that we still have a lot of work to do and in this direction we will continue to accelerate, so that the Greek sportsmen and women have the optimal conditions and supplies for the best possible performances, especially since we are in a year of preparation in view of the 2024 Olympic Games”.
