Just as I have dedicated a large part of my life to basketball, trying to give my best and yet always playing as part of the team. Indeed, basketball has become a part of my life, as a game, as desire to constantly improve and surpass myself. So it affects each other, the development of basketball as a game and the development of my personality. I want to continue like this. I want to play basketball and I look forward to my game. I want my family to share this joy too.
However, for weeks different information has been coming out about me and my future career. Against my will and desire, without my knowledge, and certainly far from the truth, random texts are published. Some of it was imaginations and arbitrary conclusions of individuals and media and all this caused a great deal of attention, which my family and I did not want at all.
As some information about the further continuation of my career in Partisan reached the public, threats and insults began, which surprised and hurt me greatly, because I don’t want to be a person, who will divide people on any basis, let alone on the colors of the clubs. I have decided not to be part of such an atmosphere and that I do not want to expose myself or my family to further suffering.
To be honest, I must mention that not a single threat has come from Red Star and I always have good and respectful communication with them. Also, I would like to mention that I am ignorant of the financial aspect, as well as the preferences in a particular club, as I wanted to play in a country that I love so much, but things went in the wrong direction. I would like to thank Partizan for the trust and desire to be part of their team, but I made the decision that it is best for my family and for me to continue my career in one of the European teams outside of Serbia».
