Economou to Baltako: “We want a football that the Greeks are proud of”

The Deputy Minister of Sports, Giannis Oikonomoumet at the Ministry of Sports with the president of the EPO Taki Baltako.

Together they discussed Greek football, with the former talking about results that will be judged fairly on the field and about a football that will make the Greeks proud, without toxic confrontations.

In detail what the GGA reports:

“Continuing the informative contacts with Federations and bodies of Greek sports, the Deputy Minister of Sports, Mr. Yannis Oikonomou, met today, at the Ministry of Sports, with the President of the Hellenic Football Federation, Mr. Panagiotis Baltakos.

Mr. Baltakos presented the events of the Federation he chairs and the issues that concern the E.P.O. in relation to Greek football.

From the side of the Deputy Minister, it was pointed out that the State is determined, within the framework of its powers, not to be limited to the role of observer, but to function as part of the solution to the problems of Greek football and as a guarantor of its upgrading both in the domestic and international environment, insisting on legality, transparency and fair competition.

At the same time, the Deputy Minister emphasized that we want a Greek football that the Greek fans can be proud of, away from toxic confrontations and with the results judged honestly in the stadium.

Finally, Mr. Yiannis Oikonomou wished good success to the National Team in view of the two upcoming matches with the Netherlands and Gibraltar”.
