The first gathering for the pre-national women’s table tennis team and the federal coach, Giorgos Karytsa, at the SEF training center took place last afternoon and the pace is already increasing, with the first main goal being the team’s readiness for the European Team Championship 2023, in which will be held September 10-17 in Malmö, Sweden.
The invitation card had no changes, in SEF there are the regular members of the National team together with some female athletes of the junior category. In the same place, the preparation will proceed until the big European meeting
From Saturday, the double trainings started. The schedule for these days still provides for a single training session on Sunday, two training sessions on Monday, a day off on the 15th of August and a return immediately after to the normal pace until the European Championship.
Before Malmö, moreover, there are important competitive tests in September for female athletes of the National team with participation in the Balkan Men’s-Women’s Championship in Bulgaria and in the WTT Feeder tournament of the same country. The Balkan tournament will be held in Albena and the World Federation tournament will be held in Panagiouriste.
Elizabeth Terpou is following a special program, as she has been suffering from hand syndrome for some time. He is training to a lower standard while doing physical therapy and is doing much better.
The corresponding “first” of the men’s pre-national team is scheduled for 16/08.
