The first big derby of this season ended without a winner Premier League!
In a very well-paced match – especially in the first half – where the… ball could have sat either way, Chelsea and Liverpool they stayed final at tied 1-1 at the packed “Stamford Bridge”, as part of the first match of the English championship.
Both teams showed some very good points in this premiership, especially in the midfield part of their game, however, both Pochettino and Klopp still have a lot of work to do in behind.
The big London derby started with the best omens, with the two teams entering the field very energetically, giving a frantic pace to the match. The first to threaten was Liverpool with Zota in the 6th minute, for Mo Salah to come five minutes later and with a strong shot from the semi-circle of the area to mark the crossbar of the hosts!
What the two strikers of the “reds” couldn’t do earlier, he did Luis Diaz at 18′ with a close-up on the second beam for the 1-0 after Salah’s magical diagonal ball with which he “punched” the opposing defense!
With morale high, Jurgen Klopp’s side continued to push for a second goal. In the 29th minute, Salah sent the ball into the net from inside the area, with the VAR eventually cancels the goal for marginal offside. From 30′ and until the end of the half, h Chelsea revved up, reaching the equalization in her very first notable chance in the match with a scorer Disassy!
In particular, after a period of time in the frames of Alisson, the “blues” brought the match to the level with a close goal by the French defender in the 37th minute. In fact, two minutes later, the hosts “touched” the reversal, but, as earlier with Salah, so also in the 39′ phase, Chigwell was indicated by the VAR in an offside position.
In the replay, the pace of the match dropped significantly and despite the changes of the two coaches, not much changed in the image of the match. However, on match delays, Chelsea and Liverpool had one each great phase to “steal” the three points, initially the “reds” with Nunes at 90+2′ and then the “blues” seconds later with Mudric.
