Nikopolidis on bwinSPORT FM: “Fans must honor their teams with their actions”

We know when we want to organize safe European games of this level. In fact, today and tomorrow many people will come from England and Spain, they see it as a celebration. We want to create this culture as well. You have to celebrate football, enjoy it. We are trying to get this message across. The important thing is the public, who often hears the wrong messages. Fanaticism is not the ideal element. The love for the team is important. The world, the sports fans, the fans must honor their team with their actions.”

For the City-Seville favourite: “There is always a favorite in a game, let alone a City that is also the European champion. It is a team that has been in the spotlight for the last ten years. But in front of her is Sevilla, who know how to win trophies. We can’t ignore that.”

For the battles of the Greek teams in the European competitions: “Let’s wish good success to all the teams to pass to the next phase and the groups. Of course I am watching and I am particularly happy because a very serious effort is being made.
