Kotarski: “My priority is PAOK – We are really ready for qualification”

by

Loyal to PAOK and focused on how the qualification against Hajduk Split will come, said Dominik Kotarski, speaking at the usual press conference at the Toumba stadium before tomorrow’s match of the “double-header of the North” with the Croatians.

What Kotarski said in detail:

For how ready the team is for qualification and for the score of the first match: “I think the team is really ready. We have drawn 0-0 in the first match, but we can win at home. We have to come in and play our best game, give it our all to win. We have a good mentality, we are well prepared. We wanted the win there as well, but 0-0 is not a bad score either. In front of our audience, we can take the important step to qualify for the next phase.”

On the positive comments written about him in the Croatian media and being in the spotlight: “It’s always nice to play against teams from your hometown. We had a good match in Croatia, we controlled the tempo, we had our phases and the opponent’s phases were from our mistakes. I was not the hero for the result, it was a collective work of all of us. It’s a game against my compatriots, but I’m only focused on qualifying. We want a good performance and a qualification.”

On what has changed in the new season after the changes and in defense: “New players have come in the defense, it’s always difficult to change things, but the guys adapt quickly. We have good communication with each other, we are doing very well. It’s a new season and our goal is to get better in every game. It’s different to play with someone for a year, our level of communication and our chemistry is very good and every match we will be better.”

On how he manages what is written and heard about him regarding the interest of other groups: “There are always and always will be rumours. They will always be talking and writing. PAOK is my priority, I’m happy here and I’m only thinking about the next game. I don’t read what is written in the media, I am dedicated to how we will move to the next phase of the competition. I am grateful to PAOK, I am not influenced by what is written. For me, PAOK is a priority and nothing else concerns me.”
