Terzis: “Ugly and unfair that we were excluded, luck turned its back on us”

The coach of the “yellows” called the exclusion of Aris from Dynamo Kyiv unfair. Tolis Terzisat the press conference after the match in Bucharest.

“What happened today is ugly and unfair. We were better in both games. We created chances but luck turned our backs. A wrong cover and the goal came in the 85th minute while the game was going where we wanted. We knew the quality of the opposition but we had the way and took the game where we wanted by creating chances and controlling the tempo. And in extra time we could have scored as we had all the chances. We accepted the red card but continued.

Unfortunately we were eliminated on penalties. One cover mistake doesn’t erase the effort we put in in both games. I also want to say a big thank you to the people who were with us and something else. We are here to prevent violence, not to incite it. It’s a shame for a huge club with great footballers to go up to the opposing fans and make gestures. You have no business going and gesticulating and well done to our fans who were detained. We are a group that practically stands against violence and tries to prevent it. Shame on what happened”.
