Korakaki: “What was once an elusive dream is now a repetition”

by

She gave her account through a post on Social Media Anna Korakakia few hours after winning the silver medal at the world shooting championship held in Baku!

After mentioning that what was once an elusive dream has now become… a repeat, she then dedicated her great success to her brother and thanked her father and coach, Tasos Korakakis.

Her post:

“WORLD CHAMPION!!!

4 World Championships since the beginning of my career, 4 medals in a row in all of them (world championships so far in shooting were held every four years)!

And it came to be added this year to a crazy year, full of medals in every event I participated in! I have no words anymore. What was once an elusive dream, that one might conquer only once, or a few times, I dare say now seems to constitute a “repetition”. Is there a greater blessing (athletically) than that?!

Of course, it wouldn’t be so “easy” if I didn’t have the best by my side. The top trainer and my father Tasos Korakakis, the amazing team of stoiximan, underarmour and many more worthy partners! This medal is extremely dedicated to my blood, my brother, who prepared feverishly all summer and was unable to participate in this race due to a health issue. I know that as always he supported me, boasted from afar and worried. He deserves all the medals in the world.

These guys, I have nothing else to say! Except that I am completely happy, grateful and complete! And that there are other very beautiful things to come”.
