Behrens made his… head and gave the victory with four to Union!

Wide wide signature Kevin’s Behrens brought the first time today (20/8) match of the 1st match of the Bundesliga, between Berlin Union and the Mainz…

With the German center forward to do hat-trick and even scoring with three headersto lead the “iron men” to victory with a score 4-1 against the Palatinate team!

Specifically, Behrens gave the lead to Union with a goal from the locker room, just in the 1st minute, converting Roussillon’s cross from the left to make it 1-0. While in the 9th minute it was Laidouni’s turn to “fill up”, this time from the right side, with the 32-year-old striker sending the puck into the opponent’s net.

Mainz won a penalty in the 61st minute, with Diogo Leite, but Renov parried Azorque’s execution in the very next minute. With the guests, however, reducing the score to 2-1 with a terrific volley by Sassi in the 64th minute.

However, on the one hand Behrens had not said his… last word, as with another header in the 70th minute he restored the two-goal lead of the clearly superior home team.

Azorque proved again… fatal for Mainz, as he had a crossbar in the 74th minute and another missed penalty in the 88th minute, only for Padovic to come in the fourth minute of stoppage time and shape the final result, on the counterattack.
