Concern for PAOK with Ekong and Samata ahead of Hearts

by

With… the right hand entered the new championship of the Stoiximan Super League PAOK on Sunday night (20/08), winning relatively comfortably 3-0 Astera Tripoli in Toumba, in the premiere of the two teams in the championship!

However, not everything was… rosy for the Thessalonians. And this is because, during the match, two injuries occurred, the seriousness of which remains to be clarified, in view of the first encounter with Hearts in Edinburgh (24/8).

Initially, in the 64th minute, he left the field of play William Troost-Ekong, as he felt a discomfort, giving his place to Ivan Nasberg. The Nigerian’s condition will be clarified with tests on Monday (21/8), although it does not inspire so much concern, as he reportedly left the match mainly for precautionary reasons.

Things looked worse for him Ali Samata. The new PAOK striker hit both his right ankle and knee late in the game, appearing to be in quite a bit of pain. Finally, he was replaced in the 85th minute by Stefano Jima, with his presence in view of Hearts being, of course, up in the air. Concern for the forward from Tanzania is intense, and PAOK are anxiously awaiting Monday’s exams.
