Misfortune did not allow Katerina Stefanidis to attend another final in her huge career.

The experienced vaulter was injured during the warm-up at the World Championship qualifier. Despite the intense pain, she performed normally in her three attempts, to exhaust her chances of competing normally in the final.

However, she was unable to overcome the intense pain and did not complete any of her three jumps. This will be the first time since 2015 that the final of a major event will be held without the presence of Katerina Stefanidis.
