Carlson: “Ares is a very strong team – At our home base things are different”

In the replacement of Tolis Terzis by Aki Manzio and in his confrontation Mars with Asteras Tripoli (03/09, 20:00) at “Kleanthis Vikelidis” stood the David Carlson.

The “yellow” winger made statements to her camera NOVA and stated that the Thessaloniki team will improve its performance in the next period, but stressing that this needs time after the roster has many new faces.

For the defeats in the previous matches: “Some details didn’t work out for us. Various coincidences worked against us. In the match against OFI, of course, we conceded three goals from our own mistakes. In Lamia we conceded the first goal, the opponents retreated and thus came the defeat. Our mistake was that we didn’t take care to score first. If we did, it would be different games».

For the next game with Asteras: “On Sunday we play at home, where, as I have understood during my time with the team, things are different. And this, because we will have our fans and they will support us, to reach victory. In football, whether you come from many defeats or from many victories, what always counts is the game in front of you, in which you have to give your best to win. Otherwise people will be angry with you. What matters on Sunday is what we do. With the aura of our home, as long as we play well, we will win!».

For the replacement of Apostolos Terzis by Akis Manzios: “A new coach always brings his own ideas. Of course, our new coach has only been with us for a few days and it is logical that he does not have time to change many things. But it will definitely bring new energy to the whole team and I think it will be enough for us to perform better on Sunday and win. Over time we will see the changes he will make to the team».

On how he himself feels in his first months in a new country and team: “I feel very good here, in Thessaloniki! As for the team, I understand that Aris is a very strong team!
