His statement in detail:

The competitive goal of the World Cup was a distinction and to win a position that would lead us to the Olympiad and this goal was not achieved.

The quality goal was for the team to give their best. To have militancy, self-sacrifice and unity. This has been requested from day one by all players. And this goal was achieved.

The players gave their best and a message of passion and self-sacrifice to the Greek society. The National team is more than a team. It represents an entire nation and we must set an example to all Greeks of what it means to wear this shirt. The coaching staff and players have done their best in this direction and I congratulate them.

For any non-competitive exceeding and achievement of the goal of our participation in the Olympiad, the sole responsibility rests with the Administration and me personally. The coaches and players did exactly what we asked of them and we are really proud of them.
