Makedonikos proceeded to hire his new coach!
The Thessaloniki team, two months after the departure of Akis Theodosiadis from the technical leadership, announced that the new coach from next season will be Stelios Malezas!
The 38-year-old coach, after almost three years in the role of the first coach of the U19 team of PAE PAOK, with which he won the championship Super League U19 in the 2020/21 season, he takes over the second team of his professional career.
The announcement in detail:
“The administration of PAE Makedonikos is pleased to announce the start of its collaboration with coach Stelios Malezas.
The 38-year-old technician from Katerini comes from a three-year role as the first coach of the U19 team of PAE PAOK, with which he won the Super League U19 championship in the 2020/21 season. Under his supervision and guidance, there are not a few footballers from Dikephalos who have successfully crossed the threshold of professional football, either in the PAOK men’s team or in other teams in Greece and abroad.
Stelios Malezas also has rich experience as a footballer, representing in his career mostly PAOK (12 seasons), but also Pontius Katerinis, Herodotos, Panaitolikos and Xanthi, with an intermediate two-year trip to Germany on behalf of Fortuna Dusseldorf.
The President of Makedonikos, Mr. Pavlos Andronis, and the General Manager of the club, Mr. Giorgos Pavlakos, presented the team’s new coach to the players and staff after the friendly match with Thermaikos Thermis.
The management of the club welcomes coach Malezas to the big “green” family and wishes him, first of all, good health, and secondly, that his personal ambitions are identified in practice with the vision of the Macedonian!”
