THE Christian Ganea is ready to complete his transfer to Steaua and is already in Romania after the termination of his contract with Panathinaikos.
The former left-back of the trefoil, referred to hard time who went through the serious health problem he went through and declared that he was cheerful for the new step of his career.
His statements in detail:
“Yesterday I returned to Greece and finished the matter of my contract. It’s a chapter closed for me, now something beautiful is coming for me and I’m very happy to be here.
My transfer to Panathinaikos was successful, but after a few months I faced a rather serious problem and had to take a 6-month break. I had covid and then had some tests. In the first phase it was fine, then the doctors insisted that I do more tests and told me to take a break of 3-6 months.
It wasn’t easy, I was the starter, the team was winning, but I had nothing to do. It was very difficult for me, I stayed 6 months without football and I understood what it means to have someone take away what you love”first reported and continued:
“I had a long period when I was out and another player was acquired on the left. I realized I would be playing very little. Being out for a year and playing 10 games is not my style. I want to play. I had a few offers from Greece, but I chose the biggest club in Romania and that makes me proud.
I have been fine for about two months now, the doctors said I am fine and can resume activity. I’m fine, but I need 2-3 weeks of a little harder training and 2-3 races to be in top shape.
I had a premonition that one day I would play in Steaua. There were attempts in the past as well, but we did not agree on why the transfer to Panathinaikos came about.
Gigi Becali knows me, I played so many times against Steaua and I think I left a good impression on Romanian football. Our conversation went well. I didn’t meet him, I only spoke on the phone. He spoke with his… pleasant style, he told me that he really wanted me in the team, that he wanted this transfer for a long time and that encouraged me to take the step”.
